Conformance target
This site targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is a goal we test against, not a certification — see below for exactly what has and has not been verified.
What has been verified
Color contrast for both light and dark themes was computed directly from the site’s design tokens (not judged visually) and checked against the WCAG 2.2 AA thresholds — 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and non-text UI components such as form-field borders. A regression test keeps this from silently drifting.
Keyboard operability, focus visibility, and screen-reader labeling (ARIA live regions on every calculator result, labeled form fields, a skip-to-content link, and landmark structure) have been reviewed against the calculator forms and site navigation.
Every calculator works without JavaScript: the formula, a worked example, and the reference table are all server-rendered, so the core content is available even if scripts fail to load or a screen reader user has scripting disabled.
What has not yet been verified
An automated accessibility scan (axe-core) across every page has not yet been wired into continuous testing. A screen-reader pass with NVDA or VoiceOver through every page — rather than the calculator forms and navigation specifically — has not been completed. We are stating this plainly rather than claiming a conformance level we have not fully tested.
Known limitations
None known at this time beyond the untested scope above. If you find one, please tell us — see below.
Reporting a problem
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, please describe the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you were using, via the contact page. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports promptly and treat them as a priority, not general feedback.
